105 Days Left!

For the past 6 years, Koinonia has invested its heart and soul into one of Kitchener-Waterloo’s most well-loved Christmas concerts. Each year, we host over three thousand guests and create an experience that kicks off the season and inspires Christmas spirit.

As we are preparing for this season, we are looking to extend the Christmas in Concert opportunity to those who have participated in the past, and to those who have never been a part of the team. There are many ways you can get involved, including auditioning to become one of our performers! We have a wide range of roles to offer: choir, ensemble, duets, trios, and solos.

Three years ago, when I walked into my first audition for Christmas in Concert, I was nervous. The vocal team and other performers welcomed me and helped me feel accepted as a new member of the cast. Since then, I look forward to Christmas in Concert every year and would encourage anyone who loves to sing or simply loves Christmas to be a part of this amazing show. It is so rewarding!

Before you sign up to audition, we want you to feel prepared and as confident as possible. When preparing, here are a few tips:

  • Practice in front of the mirror to see how you perform
  • Choose 2 songs from the list that showcase your voice
  • Memorize the lyrics

Christmas in Concert is a huge undertaking that involves hundreds of volunteers. The show has gained its reputation due to the amount of rehearsing and commitment from our volunteers. Please know that upon receiving a part, you will be expected to attend each rehearsal. Our vocal team values your time and will do their best to maximize rehearsal time.

We’re so excited to extend this invitation to our Koinonia family! If you know someone who may be hesitant about auditioning, please give them the gentle nudge they need!

Visit our audition website to hear all of the music for this year’s show and to sign up for a time slot.

We look forward to seeing you!
