Divine Women Weekly!Sep 27
{great minds think alike! Brenda, Kristin, and Beth looked fabulous in their blue pants this morning!}
Thanks to all the ladies who joined us for Divine Weekly this morning!
There was a great "buzz" in the room and we had even more ladies than expected. We had a lovely time worshipping together and connecting around tables. Beth brought an encouraging message on our theme for the semester "Live Generously" - Our God is a Generous God. We loved the theme at Divine Conference in June, so we are excited to carry it on this semester. If you missed the message, you can listen online here. It's also not too late to join us! Even if you can't make it for the whole semester, you are welcome to come when you can (and bring a friend)!
Here's a couple quotes to leave you with:
"You make a living by what you get, but you make a life by what you give." - Winston Churchill
"The fragrance always stays in the hand that gives the rose" - George William Curtis
"We need to know the character and nature of God, otherwise we will attribute all sorts of things to Him - right or wrong" - Beth Fleming
Divine PrayerSep 19
“Let it rain
Let it rain
Open the floodgates of heaven
We feel the rain of Your love
We feel the wind of Your Spirit
And now the heartbeat of heaven
Let us hear …”
One of the things that amazes me the most about God is how He longs to share His heart with us. He who created the spectacular universe and everything in it out of nothing but His own words, wants me (and you!) to hear His heartbeat. Selah.
He wants to surround us with His love and glory so that we can radiate His presence into a lost and broken world around us. When we encounter God in the fullness of His presence, we begin to flow in conversation with God (prayer) from a place of rest – not striving – and we begin to sense His strategies of love for ourselves and our world around us. As we pray, we are so overcome with His heart and presence, our prayers release the fragrance of His love and heart.
Jesus came to heal the sick, set the captives free, restore us to right-standing with God so that we could have Life to the full, and to live it abundantly. When we come together we are agreeing for His Kingdom to come and His will to be done on earth as it is in heaven. We are releasing and activating the purposes and plans of God in our lives, the lives of our family and friends and the world.
1 John 5:14-15 (NKJV)
Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.
So we gather, one Monday night a month to feel the heartbeat of heaven, to be filled with His love, His heart and His revelation – a powerful encounter with the Living God. Won’t you join us?

Something to Remember…Aug 8
Hey Ladies!
I hope you're all still learning to live generously every day! Here's a great quote I found fom the book "Lines to Live By." I pray that it will encourage and remind you to always live an extravagantly generous life.
"Refuse to open your purse, and soon you cannot open your sympathy. Refuse to give, and soon you will cease to enjoy that which you have. Refuse to love and you lose the power to love and be loved. Withhold your affections and you become a moral paralytic. But the moment you open wide the door of your life, you let the sunshine of your life into some soul."
Remember to live generously in every walk of life as you are filled with God's love. Can't wait to see you next year! (May 31-June 1, 2013)

Divine Women Weekly - Winter SemesterMar 12
We are half way through our Winter Semester of Divine Women Weekly! Our theme this session is "Walking with God, Abiding in His Love". Beth, Shirley, and Maria-Esther have each brought inspiring teaching from God's Word about abiding in His love by obeying His commands. (Click on a message title below to listen). Each week, we enjoy a time of worship, and discussion around our tables as we eat some delicious breakfast snacks.
We have lots of room for more ladies to join us (although childcare is full)! Even if you can only drop by for one Thursday morning, we'd love to connect with you! Divine Women Weekly takes place in the Impact Centre from 9-11am on Thursday mornings during our Life Group Semester.

A Note from Our PastorsNov 29
"Christmas really is a wonderful time of year. Our thoughts turn to God’s amazing plan of salvation through His Son, born of a virgin in a humble stable. I love to read and hear the story over and over as it recounts the many prophesies that were fulfilled at His birth. This Christmas season, we want to make this amazing story of hope, peace, and joy come alive throughout each of our services - it will be “A Storytime Christmas”!
We have lots of ways to practice giving this year as we support our church family through Christmas Blessing and our solo parents and KiDZONE families through the Shining Star banquet, food and presents. The joy of cheerful giving will enable us to express God’s love in a real, tangible way.
Be sure to bring a friend or neighbour to our free “Christmas in Concert” performances on Dec. 17 & 18 for a festive start to the season. Plan on attending one of our two Christmas Eve services this year as we celebrate together with friends and family.
Thanks for “Doing a Great Work” with us this year! We look forward to all that 2012 will bring as we continue to build His House together.
May you experience the joy and hope of Christmas all year long,
Pastor Steve & Beth"
