Divine Conference 2012Jun 11

We had a FABULOUS time with our Divine Women on June 1 & 2!  The place was buzzing as the ladies arrived, all ready to be inspired to "Live Generously".  We kicked things off with a beautiful rendition of "Doxology", some gorgeous dancers, and a powerful time of worship.  Our guest speaker, Christine Martin, was a total delight - her energy was contagious!  She kept us laughing, shared her powerful testimony, and was real and honest about what it takes to get past ourselves to see the needs of others.  Beth encouraged us to be "clothed with compassion"; to be dressed in a God-kind of wardrobe each day.  A few ladies shared their amazing stories of the ways they give, love and serve each week, and Pastor Steve wrapped up our Saturday afternoon session with an inspiring word about generosity.  

We gave away over 70 door prizes, indulged in some delicious Divine desserts, and best of all - two dollars from every Divine registration was given to support teen moms in Kenya through the Mully Children's Family!  We'll keep you up to date with how this gift is making a difference!  On top of that, we continued our Divine tradition and packed up 200 gift bags for the ladies in the Grand Valley Institution for Women in Kitchener.  

We were also excited to provide language translation during the sessions for the first time ever!  Thanks so much to all of the staff and volunteers who generously sowed their time, energy and resources to make this year's conference a success!
