Join the Worship Team Band

Part of the entire Worship Team, the Band is a group of musicians who support many areas of Koinonia including main services and special events, Kids, Youth and Young Adults. Our band is essentially the Rhythm Section – guitars, keyboards, drums and bass. (Click the link to the left if you are interested in being part of the Orchestra)

All members of our band attend regular rehearsals to learn new songs and styles, build community and rehearse for upcoming services.

Join the Orchestra

The Orchestra is our newest music team, formed in 2008. Like a traditional orchestra, this team is comprised of orchestral instruments – strings, woodwinds, brass and percussion.

We have some non-traditional characteristics as well, however; we generally stand when we play, and the majority of our arrangements are our main service songs which we play along with the Band and Vocals. It’s a powerful mix, and if you play one of these types of instruments, you should really join us!

Vocals

The Vocal Team serves the Worship Team and church by helping to create an environment where it is easy for people to enter the presence of God and worship with their whole heart. We desire to model that kind of worship with our everyday lives.

This team includes worship leaders, singers and choirs from all four of our specific teams: Kids, Youth, Young Adults and Main Services. All members of our vocal teams attend regular rehearsals to learn new songs, build community and rehearse for upcoming services.

Dance Teams

The dance teams at Koinonia exist to help further the use of dance in age-specific services, main services and church-wide events. Each team rehearses weekly to focus on choreography and learn how to dance for worship, praise, entertainment and ministry. Dance teams run according to the school year, and are age-specific as seen below:

• Kidz Extreme Team: Grades 4-6
• Full Force: Grades 7-12
• Compelled: Young Adults

Visual Arts and Graphic Design

Our visual artists help create an atmosphere of beauty and excellence through creative art and design. Whether you’re interested in contributing to our Fine Art Gallery at Christmas & Easter, helping out with stage design and setup, or volunteering your graphic design skills to make impacting artwork, we have projects for you!

Koinonia Drama Company

Koinonia Drama Company exists to enhance regular services and special events at Koinonia through drama.
It is a resource of actors, singers, dancers, stage managers, directors, writers, costumers, property personnel, hair & make-up artists, stage hands and more who have a passion for the dramatic arts!
