Ray of Hope
For more than 40 years, Ray of Hope has worked with troubled youth and people in poverty in the Waterloo Region. Ray of Hope is open 7 days a week and provides daily hot meals, food distribution, clothing, laundry facilities, showers and personal care items as well as spiritual encouragement from a Christian faith perspective.
Koinonia is honoured to be part of this life-changing ministry through financial support and volunteer involvement in the Ray of Hope Community Centre (formerly known as the Waterloo Region Dream Centre). For more information, please visit http://www.rayofhope.net
Sunnyside Home
Sunnyside Home, located near Stanley Park in Kitchener, is an accredited facility providing different levels of care for people who require assistance with the activities of daily living.
Sunnyside has an active volunteer program with over 200 volunteers who are integral to the provision of quality care to the residents, but there are always a large number of volunteer positions available.
We are part of the Pastoral Care Advisory Committee, and our teams help conduct monthly Sunday afternoon services which the residents absolutely love!
Contact George Schmidt at george.schmidt@kcf.org if you would like to get involved.
